2. The short version

TalkTerm is designed around data minimization. The website does not use advertising cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or user accounts. The iOS app performs voice transcription on-device and does not upload recordings to us.

3. Website data

When this website is delivered, the hosting provider necessarily processes technical request data such as IP address, timestamp, requested path, browser information, and response status. This is required to securely deliver the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Technical logs are retained only for operational security and deleted or aggregated when no longer required.

We do not use cookies, advertising technology, cross-site tracking, or behavioral analytics on this website.

4. TalkTerm app data

4.1 SSH connections

SSH traffic flows directly between your device and the host you choose. We do not proxy, inspect, or store terminal sessions, commands, server responses, passwords, or connection content.

4.2 Credentials and connection settings

Private SSH keys and other sensitive credentials are stored locally in Apple Keychain. Connection metadata and app preferences may be stored locally on your device. Removing the app or using its deletion controls removes locally stored app data subject to iOS system behavior.

4.3 Voice transcription

Microphone audio is processed on-device for transcription. Audio is not sent to MR Digital Solutions, Apple dictation, an analytics provider, or a cloud transcription service. A speech model is downloaded only after you explicitly request it; that download requires a network connection.

4.4 Host-key verification

Stored host fingerprints are used locally to detect new or changed SSH host keys. A changed key is not accepted automatically.

5. App Store and external links

If you follow a link to Apple's App Store, Apple processes the resulting request under its own privacy policy. Any download or purchase is handled by Apple; we do not receive payment-card data.

6. Contact

If you contact us by email, we process your email address, message, and any information you provide to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Messages are retained only as long as needed for the request and applicable legal obligations.

7. Your GDPR rights

Where applicable, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority, including the LDI NRW.
